an English country garden wedding

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Hayley and Deon’s wedding in Hayley’s Great Aunt and Uncle’s English country garden in Uckfield.

I started the day at bride’s preparations in a quaint cottage in High Hurstwood before heading off to the house. The wedding had been planned to precision by Sue and Clive from Eleganza Weddings, however the one thing that wasn’t under their control was the inclement English weather! Sue and Clive were on tenterhooks all morning waiting to decide whether to hold the wedding ceremony in the garden or marquee. They held out until the last minute and chose the garden option, which turned out to be the perfect choice. The sun shone as Hayley and her five bridesmaids walked down the red carpet, in the centre of the lawn, towards one very proud and speechless groom. So that was one very happy couple, lots of happy guests, ecstatic wedding planners and photographer along with the somewhat relieved and contented Registrar, Pamela Day. The wedding went off without a hitch and was a truly relaxed and fun occasion. Apart from one short, light shower the September good weather prevailed and the light was awesome. Congratulations Hayley and Deon and may you have many happy years together back home in Perth.

For a fabulous job, special mentions must go to Sue and Clive from Eleganza Weddings , Christina Jessel from Christina Jessel and Briony Billingham

Here are a selection of your images from one of my favourite weddings to date! A larger selection of images can be viewed and purchased at Hayley and Deon’s wedding gallery which will be populated by the end of the week.

my latest wedding from Ravenswood

Another great Ravenswood wedding, this time for Alex and Jon. We were blessed with fantastic weather as those menacing rain clouds moved in a North Easterly direction. With the weather on our side we were all able to relax and I was able to take my time capturing plenty of spontaneous, natural images. Here’s are a selection of those images below.
