This morning I met up with Virginia and Dorothy for a coffee and a natural portrait session at Drury’s in Richardson Road, Hove. The brief was to take vibrant, natural portraits in a relaxed environment with little intervention. The following two shots demonstrate this well. For the majority of the session the light was soft, yet bright and couldn’t have been better for an outdoor shoot..

This afternoon I cycled from Hove seafront, up to the Devil’s Dyke and across the Downs to Shoreham with my friend and colleague Andrew Spence of the Spence Practice. The cycle ride wasn’t just for fun and fitness, it was to appreciate the beauty of the Downs and to capture some portraiture against a beautiful West Sussex backdrop. Here are several shots from the shoot.

Yesterday I held a corporate portrait session at one of my client’s offices and was over the moon when they showed me to my temporary studio.  They had allocated the board room, which was built on the roof and came complete with roof terrace overlooking Hove.  The light was perfect for natural lighting so my lights stayed in the bag.
