Anna and Dan’s Wedding at Grittenham Barn, Tillington

Anna and Dan tied the knot with a thespian theme at Grittenham Barn, Tillington on Saturday and it certainly was a ceremony to remember.  Grittenham Barn is set in stunning countryside and proved to be a wonderful wedding venue and photographers dream. The rain threatened to intervene on several occasions during brides preparation, wedding ceremony and blessing, finally forcing us under cover during the drinks reception. Luckily it only lasted 1/2 hour and we headed back outside to soak up some rays and for an informal photo session.  Congratulations Anna and Dan and thank you for being great sports and  such great subjects. I have selected a number of images for the slideshow, which capture the wonderful atmosphere and colour of the day. You can see the wedding gallery on my website, once Anna and Dan return from their honeymoon and send out the access code. Enjoy the photographs. Regards, Paul

Vintage Wedding – Ayshea and David’s wedding party in Horam

I had a rather nice surprise this Saturday, when I had a 1pm call from a couple, Ayshea and David, who’s wedding party was at 3pm that afternoon and they needed a wedding photographer.  Never wanting to miss an opportunity I jumped at the chance and headed over to Horam to cover the event.  Ayshea and David had set up a marquee at a farm in Horam and invited their family and friends to join them for a cool wedding party.  The weather was pretty grim earlier in the day, however by 3pm the clouds had cleared, the sun was shining and that set the tone for a wonderful afternoon.  I had a great time photographing the party, as you’ll see  from the gallery of images below, and the last minute booking turned out to be great for all concerned. Congratulations Ayshea and David and best wishes for the future.

A vintage twist and the photographs really come to life.

wedding at St Margaret’s, Ditchling and Ashdown Park Hotel

Lauren and Martin’s wedding this weekend in Ditchling and Ashdown Park was a wonderful occasion, and for me, celebrated all that’s great about wedding photography.  After a thoroughly enjoyable ceremony, with a few quirky twists, we spent a short while outside St Margaret’s Church, Ditchling soaking up the atmosphere and taking candid and group photographs, before heading off to Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club. The weather was beautiful and as you’ll see from the images below really complemented the backdrop Ashdown Park has to offer.  It’s always a privilege and a pleasure photographing weddings and Lauren and Martin’s wedding was no exception. Have a great honeymoon and enjoy the photos! If you were a guest at the wedding and would like to see more images from Lauren and Martin’s wedding you can visit their wedding gallery. You will need the access code, which can be requested through the website or from the bride and groom.
