tourism south east event at bodiam castle

It was lovely returning to Bodiam Castle tonight after several years, on this occassion for a social media and SEO networking event organised by Tourism South East. I was pleased to have been given the opportunity to say a few words this evening, concentrating on the importance of images when creating a successful online presence or social media campaign. One of the simple, fruitful methods discussed is to ensure you name images correctly. Their file name should be what they represent so that search engines include them in their searchable image libraries, complete with a direct link back to the website they appear on. The images you’ll see below are all named Bodiam-Castle-Events, so that when someone searches online using those keywords they will see them. One click and they will come straight through to this post. Simple and very effective! I had a really enjoyable evening and met some lovely people whom I shall certainly keep in touch with.

I’d like to give a quick thank you to Bodiam Castle and ‘M’ from Tourism South East for this event, and give a quick mention to a very special attraction: Brede Steam Giants – Just six miles from Hastings stands the Brede Water Heritage site, with two of its original triple expansion steam engines housed in Grade II listed buildings. Lovely people and incredible engineering!
