Saturday’s wonderful East Sussex wedding, for Lalida and Trevor, at St Michael’s Church in Lewes and Broyle Place in Ringmer, was an absolute scorcher and an absolute joy to photograph. My day began at the church, documenting arrivals, always looking for an interesting angle or opportunity. I was asked to keep a very low profile during the ceremony, so I was able to relax a little and enjoy the breathtaking singing by the choir and a young man’s solo. After the ceremony we made a fairly swift exit to Broyle Place in Ringmer for a drinks reception on their sheltered lawns and in front of the main house. It was my first wedding at Broyle Place and I’ll certainly look forward to my return next season. Having been treated to glorious singing in church, we were then treated to 5 hours of sensational music by the String Quartet (simply the best I’ve come across), before finally being treated to two energetic and exciting sets by my favourite Ceilidh Band, Licence to Ceilidh. A fab end to a fab day.
