Brighton College Winter Wedding

More lovely, crisp December weather for Jenny and Pete’s lovely Brighton College wedding. Having photographed Jenny and Pete for their Brighton pre-wedding shoot in November, I was super excited to be working with them again a few weeks later. A late start with no bride’s preparations wasn’t a problem, but a swift natural session in the library was a welcome bonus to set the scene. This was the first time I’d shot a wedding ceremony in their Victorian Chapel, having previously shot in the Hordern Room, and it was a lovely surprise and very Christmassy too! I had to work very quickly during the early part of the drinks reception, ensuring the guests and bride and groom didn’t stay out in the freezing cold too long. We managed to keep the couple portraits to an absolute minimum and we managed to create some lovely moments despite spending just 10 minutes shooting. Once the bride and groom were safely in the Quad for their drinks reception, everyone was happy and the drinks were flowing. Later on an atmospheric dinner, speeches and dancing capped off a wonderful winter wedding day that once again demonstrated what a fab wedding venue Brighton College is. Thanks guys, you braved the cold and came through it with a lovely set of images to cherish. Here’s my take on Jenny and Pete’s day :)
