Charlotte and Cal’s Glorious Cissbury Barns wedding

Whenever I open my emails and see a new enquiry for Cissbury Barns, my excitement levels rise and my day is made. I’ve shot more than ten weddings at Cissbury Barns and six of those weddings took place in 2022, a wonderful year for my weddings photography. The moment I met Charlotte and Cal I knew they were the perfect couple for me and my documentary style was exactly what they were after. They had an outside ceremony planned, which great because it was my first at the barns, plus they wanted to make the most of the landscape around the barns without it taking them away from their guests for too long. I photographed everything naturally, from preps to an hour into the drinks reception, before shooting some groups and a short couple shoot whilst the guests were seated for dinner. After dinner and speeches we were blessed with beautiful golden hour light that once again gave us an unforgettable Cissbury Barns wedding experience. Another cracking day there and a very happy couple. Here’s a selection of my favourite shots throughout the wedding.

Another lovely opportunity for the couple at Cissbury Barns is meeting the registrars at Cissbury House before making their way to the barns for the ceremony.

After your ceremony enjoy the moments with your loved ones before enjoying the confetti run and then quality time with your guests until some relaxed photos together and with guests after an hour or so.

After approximately one hour with your guests we can shoot some groups and then have a couple shoot whilst the guests are seated for dinner.

After dinner why not spend some time with your nearest and dearest, using the light to best effect.

Top off your wonderful relaxed wedding day with a shoot at Cissbury Barns overlooking the valley, maybe even with stunning golden hour light.

Back in for a party to end a fabulous wedding day on the South Downs.
