Jo and Alex’s gorgeous Grittenham Barn wedding

I should move to West Sussex to be honest, because it seems as though I spend as much time there as I do at home in East Sussex! It feels like home with all the fabulous walks and people I’ve come to know over the years. I’d have many beautiful barns on my doorstep and of course jaw-droopingly beautiful locations for pre-wedding shoots. I LOVE West Sussex!
So, I met Jo and Alex at home in Hove a little over a year ago, after I was recommended to them by Grittenham Barn. Having shot 14 weddings there already it was pretty straight forward convincing them that I was the right photographer for the job and I’m so glad they chose me. They are such a warm and friendly couple and I was so excited to be working with them in June. When the day arrived I high-tailed it over to Chichester for a brief, but special bride’s preparations, before dodging the traffic to arrive at Grittenham Barn in time to meet the guys for a few shots before the ceremony. And so began a wonderful wedding day at the barn, complete with the donkeys, pigs, cats and dogs, space hoppers and badminton and awesome wedding band The Sweet and Lowdown. The sun shone bright, the golden hour was awesome and I had so much opportunity for couple shoots that I almost felt spoilt.
