I was super excited to be returning to Cissbury Barns for Lewis and Natalie’s wedding and it was everything I’d hoped it to be and more!
My day started at bride’s preps in Haywards Heath, for some low key photography to capture the emotion and excitement ahead of the wedding. Then it was onto Cissbury for the ceremony, arriving a few minutes ahead of the bridal party to set the scene. The skies were blue and the day was shaping up to be amazing. Natalie arrived looking absolutely stunning and she managed to hold back the tears enough to glide down the aisle and greet her excited groom. The emotions were high and a blissful ceremony followed with all the family and friends that couldn’t be present enjoying it on a live stream. After the ceremony they chilled out with their guests and enjoyed their drinks and canapés. It’s important to do this with your guests without interruption because there’s plenty of time to shoot some groups and couple shots before it’s over. This is exactly what we did, chill, groups and a speedy couple shoot close to the barns whilst the guests were seated for dinner.
After this there was a sumptuous meal, courtesy of Wren’s Kitchen, three lovely and emotional speeches, followed by bingo at the table for all the guests. That was a lovely touch, but it wasn’t the end of the opportunities. We still had time to enjoy those glorious Cissbury Barns views over the South Downs at the beginning of the golden hour, before a daylight sparkler tunnel to finish up. This wedding was amazing and Natalie and Lewis made the whole experience such a pleasure, from the moment I met them on Zoom to the moment I presented their preview. Here’s my take on their fabulous wedding day, enjoy!
