Where do I start with a town as beautiful, exciting and interesting as Greenwich, on the bank of the River Thames in London!? I first visited Greenwich as a child and I remember being spellbound by the majesty of the architecture rising up around me and by the sheer beauty and quality of the Cutty Sark. In later years I had a close friend who was a student at Goldsmith’s College and consequently spent lots of time enjoying the bars and parks in and around Greenwich. I fell in love with Greenwich over the years and then one day, to my joy, I was recommended for my first wedding there in 2012. I’d been living in Brighton and Hove for eighteen years and hadn’t had the opportunity to shoot many weddings in London, so this was a great opportunity to change that. That one wedding led to 5 more Greenwich weddings over the years and recently I was super excited to return in May 2021 to shoot a lovely Greenwich Naval College and Old Brewery wedding. I have two postponed 2020 weddings at the Trafalgar Tavern to shoot soon and can’t wait to return.
As you can see from numerous images below, opportunities for beautiful wedding images around Greenwich are vast, whether you choose to stroll past stunning architecture, stroll through the beautiful Greenwich Park, stroll around and inside your wedding venue or perhaps opt for a river boat cruise along the Thames. There are many beautiful venues, the very best of these being the Royal Naval College. Again wedding river boat cruises are available for something a little different, pubs such as the Trafalgar Tavern are fantastic for weddings and numerous beautiful churches such as Our Ladye Star of the Sea for weddings, offer spectacular backdrops, atmospheric interiors and spiritual experiences.
All in all Greenwich is awesome and I love shooting there, so if you’d like to meet me to discuss your wedding I’d love to hear from you here. I’d also love to hear from you if you’re getting married elsewhere in London and looking for a London wedding photographer.
Whilst the images below are more about the scenery and couples, there are many documentary moments throughout the post linked above to give you a good idea of how I work. Enjoy!
