Fiona and Dan’s wedding day was gorgeous, the sun shone all day, the sky was a brilliant blue and the views were completely spectacular. To be honest it doesn’t matter what the weather decides to do at a Wadhurst Castle wedding, because you’re guaranteed a wonderful day regardless! I often stand on the lawn at the castle looking out over the landscape and thinking that the view has probably been unchanged for centuries and that it’s one of the best far reaching views in East Sussex.
My day started just in time to see Dan arrive for drinks on the lawn with guests, before I popped upstairs to bride’s preps to see the ladies ahead of the father of the bride seeing Fiona in her dress. It’s always a special moment that’s lovely to record and then the celebrations can really begin. The opening photo below sums up the pure joy of their day and I love the fact that the emphasis of the day is placed firmly on spending quality time with the guests, with some time for groups and a couple of short portrait sessions. Topping the day off with ping pong on the lawn was a real treat to photograph and it was a great way to show the characterful and fun side of the bridal party and groomsmen. All in all this was a fabulous and fun wedding day and here’s my take on this very special occasion. Enjoy!
