Lancing College Chapel is an absolutely breathtaking backdrop for a wedding and I’ve had the pleasure of covering four weddings there to date, with a fifth postponed to 2021.
In order to marry at Lancing College Chapel you need permission from the Archbishop and whilst this can take some time for approval I’m sure anyone would agree it’s well worth the wait! The views are spectacular, the gothic revival architecture is absolutely stunning, inside and out, and the acoustics are incredible. Most wedding ceremonies at the chapel are followed by a lovely drinks reception on the lawn outside the cloisters, which is an extra special opportunity to mingle with guests and for some beautiful groups and atmospheric and relaxed couple portraits.
I’ve enjoyed the choir and congregation singing hymns immensley during weddings at the chapel, however I was also lucky enough to purchase tickets for a very special concert at the chapel some years ago, Requiem by Karl Jenkins, conducted by former Lancing College student John Gibbons. It was by far the most memorable concert I’ve been to, partly due to the fabulous acoustics within the chapel coupled with its majesty!
If you’re considering or planning to marry at the Chapel then please feel free to browse my recent Lancing College Chapel weddings below and I’d love too hear from you to discuss your plans and check my availability.
